I’ve been getting a lot of questions from people who for some reasons lost or forgot their SSS number.

Yes, they have applied for SSS number before and is now a member of SSS, but they don’t have their SSS number now, or they simply don’t know where to find or how to get it again.

In this post, I’ll share with you some tips on how to find or verify your SSS number. 

1. Check your SSS ID / UMID

If you still have your SSS ID or UMID, check if your SSS number is there. 

2. Login to you SSS Online Account

If you still have access to your SSS online account, login then go to member data, and find your SSS number there.

3. SSS E1 Form

When you applied for SSS membership, you should have filled out the SSS E1 form and you should have kept it somewhere. Look for it and you should be able to find your SSS number there. 

4. Check your Company ID

If you’re employed, check your company ID. Maybe your SSS number is also there. 

In my case, my old company ID has my SSS number and TIN at the back of the card so when I need it, it’s easy for me to find it. 

5. Ask your Company HR or Employer

Your HR Officer should have a record of all your company records including SSS, Philhealth, and Pag-ibig. Ask them if you could get your SSS number through them. 

6. Contact SSS Hotline

It’s a bit challenging to get a hold of an SSS customer representative, but you can give it a try. Call SSS Hotline 920-6446 to 55  and ask if you can get your SSS number through them. Just be prepared to answer some personal verification questions that they may ask from you.

7. Visit SSS Branch

Going to the SSS branch is the most inconvenient way especially if you have work or if you’re a busy person and your place is far from the branch. But this is the way to go if the options above don’t work for you. 

So go ahead and visit the nearest SSS branch, go to the SSS Information or Member’s Assistance Section, and try to ask if they can help you retrieve your SSS number.
